Easter

When my mom and dad decided to make the big move to Alaska, mom told dad that they would have to come "home" each Easter so that we could continue our tradition of our annual Easter egg hunt. There was lots of help from everyone to make it still happen and it was a great chance to be able to see mom and dad again!

Since Star Valley still had a TON of snow, we decided to do the Easter egg hunt at our house in Preston. It was a lot of fun to have everyone come and hang out at our house, and those that could, stay the night. We do need to do something about more beds though for next year!

They were both ready and anxious to go. Jack got himself ready to be outside with a too big jacket and Dawson's boots. He was determined to wear them even though he kept falling down since they were so big!
And they are finally off, well at least Dawson was. :)

Now for the "big kids" turn. There were a total of 500 eggs for everyone to find! Needless to say Dawson is still finding lost eggs. He thinks it is great!

Ty decided that it would be a lot funner to just sleep through all the excitement!

Beware, you never know what you will get as one of your prizes! This year they ranged from cookbooks, treats and toilet paper. At least Lyndi was excited to get the toilet paper so they didn't have to make a stop at a store on the way home.

My mom made all the kids monster hats for one of their prizes.  My personal favorite picture is the second picture of Gabe &Abbi, just shows that even the oldest grandkids can't corporate for pictures!

Grandma Brough was able to come and spend the day with us as well. We probably completely overwhelmed her but she says she enjoyed our craziness. It was great to be able to spend the time with her!

We completely wore some people out, but over all I think it was a great weekend being able to spend as much time as possible with all the family together!

The Easter Bunny brought the boys a few little things.

Then on Sunday we had an egg hunt with the Miller family.

The 3 youngest kids had their egg hunt in the house while the rest was outside.

Draven with the "little" kid, big egg with help from Uncle Bill to find it. It caused Dawson to be very upset but Draven was nice enough to share the treat  inside. Thanks Drav for sharing!!

Patrik found the "big" kids big egg. Good job Patrik!

Another picture of Austin just because he is so cute!

When Dawson was planting their magic jelly beans, he said he was planting a lot of them so that a lot of things would grow. It's a good thing that a lot grew so he wasn't disappointed!

It was a fun filled weekend spent with lots of family. I am glad that we live close enough to a lot of both of our families to be able to have these kinds of weekends.
