Summer Continued......

Here is the rest of our happenings for the summer! :)

It was a great summer at the lodge with GREAT fishing and the least amount of rain that we have ever seen. It was nice not to have to deal with the boys wanting to play outside and dealing with being wet, but not to much fun for Bill to worry about us not having enough water for the guests. We had almost made it without having to call medical friends for advice too! If Jack hadn't of fallen on the dock and hit his front teeth really hard with really bruised gums, loose teeth, and a very fat lip, we would have made it. Oh well, maybe one of these years we will be able to make it a full summer without needing to call a dentist or doctor friend!

After leaving the lodge, we were able to spend a couple of days in Juneau with my parents. It was a quick stop but fun to be able to see where they are currently living.  We were able to see the fish hatchery, Mendenhall Glacier (and even a bear right by the glacier!), go stream fishing (When my dad asked Dawson what he wanted to do Dawson of course said fishing! You would have throught he would have done enough fishing the rest of the summer, silly kid!),  and just be able to hang out and spend some time with them. It was a lot of fun just too bad it wasn't for longer.

Once we landed in Boise, we discovered that our carseats, bag and box of fish had been left in Juneau due to weight on the plane. I was NOT happy about the carseats!! What the heck was I suppose to do without carseats! They had loaner carseats that worked but they wanted me to bring them back, NOPE I was not driving another 8 hours to return their carseats. They finally got it approved to have our stuff delivered by their employee so that they could take their carseats back. I was not expecting him to show up at my door at 4 AM though. What a pain it all was since Dawson started school the next day, it wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't of had to get home that night. Yep, we arrived home at 10 pm the night before school started. Poor kid was exhausted I am sure the first couple days of school.

Luckily we got to spend a day at Bear Lake with most of my family a week or so later. It was great to be able to see everyone and the boys had a blast in the sand and water!

It was a great summer with lots of fun adventures, great fishing, and lots of good weather!
